Printables were the first digital product I started selling.
I was looking for a way to make money besides affiliate marketing. Someone in one of my Facebook groups mentioned they made 3 printable sales in 1 week. I decided to start selling them.
This was around 2 years ago. It took me a lot of trial and error to figure out what types of printables to sell on Etsy.
I’m at the point now where I’m making sales every week. Being able to create a printable to sell whenever I want gives me so much peace of mind.

How do I make printables to sell?
There are quite a few programs you can use to make printables. I know many sellers who use Powerpoint.
But in my opinion,Canva is the best option. I use it to make all of my printables. You can sign up for a free account. Plus, you can try their pro plan for 30 days for free.
Personally, I think Canva is a lot easier to use than Powerpoint or In Design. I started out on the Canva free plan.

Kid/Educational Printables to Sell on Etsy
There are so many kids or educational printables you can sell on Etsy. However, Etsy isn’t the only platform where you can sell educational printables.
Teachers pay teachers is another platform where you can sell them on. I know the ones that sell in this niche the most are Teachers or moms.
But that doesn’t mean you can’t if you aren’t either. Here’s a list of kids/educational printable ideas you can sell:

- Activity books or sheets
- Spelling worksheets
- Math worksheets
- Scissor practice sheets

There are so many printables in this niche that you can sell. The sky is the limit when it comes to the wedding industry.
Before covid hit, I started to sell them. But now I think is a good time for me to start selling them again.

Planner Printables
In my opinion, they aren’t the same. Printable planners are different than planner printables.
People who buy planner printables use a physical planner. They’ll print out a planner insert to put in their planner. Here are some planner printables you can sell:

Printable journals are similar to printable planners in one way. They usually center around 1 topic. Many people think they’re the same thing.
They aren’t. Planners help people to plan something. They are to help people get organized.
Journals help people to express their thoughts, and feelings, keep track, and write down their journey. Like a pregnancy journal helps a woman to document her pregnancy journey. A gratitude journal helps someone to be more grateful and positive.

I think party printables are my favorite printables to make and sell. I love making party printables. I feel like I can really get creative with colors, fonts, and themes.
You are encouraged to be creative in this niche. Usually, when someone plans a party, they have a theme in mind.
Party planners are creative themselves and usually go all out. It’s kind of like you’re encouraged to do the same with the printable.

Business printables
When I say business printables I mean ones that business owners would use. It may not seem like they would.

- Round stickers to put on their packaging
- Checklist lead magnet templates to grow their email list

Printable wall art is what I first started selling on Etsy. I eventually moved into other niches.
Now I just upload new wall art for the holiday season. Printable wall art is a competitive niche. Make sure you find a sub-niche within it that’s not too competitive.
