AIOSEO makes creating a sitemap of your blog easy. Without a sitemap, you can’t rank in search engines.

How to Get Started with All in One SEO
To get started all you have to do is download and install the plugin AIOSEO. Then activate it. All-in-One SEO will take you through the setup wizard.
Then click on the Let’s get started button. The setup process includes four steps. Once you are done going through the setup wizard, you’ll see the general settings tab.
What I like is that AIOSEO includes a video in the general settings tab. This video helps you to understand the setup process.
The general settings tab is divided into 5 different sections. There is a help icon in the general settings tab for all the different features listed there.
When you’re finished setting it all up, AIOSEO gives your blog an SEO score. You can use this score to see what you need to improve on.

All in One SEO Features
AIOSEO has so many features. Let’s talk about the most important ones.
On-Page SEO Analysis
As you can see in the screenshot above, AIOSEO tells you exactly where to put your focus keyword. No guesswork is involved. Once you get done filling in your focus keyword, it will give you an SEO score. This tells you if you need to improve anything. This is available for free in the free version.
Search Appearance Settings
Another feature I love is the search appearance settings. With these settings, you can set your meta description for search engines.
You can even set your blog post title, add your URL to the title, and more. If you run a business you can add your business name, phone number, contact type, logo, and person or organization.
If you want to show certain information such as the year you can do that with dynamic tags. If you ever write content with the current year, you can have it automatically change to fit the year without having to change it manually.
Site SEO Audit Checklist
Another feature included with the free version is the site SEO audit checklist. I love this because it tells you how to improve the SEO for your entire blog. Once you get your score check if you have critical issues.
The critical issues tell you what you need to fix. A score between 60-80 points is your goal. The higher your score the better your blog can rank in search engines.
With a site SEO audit checklist, you can even check your competitor’s score.
Internal Link Assistant
Internal link assistant is a feature you’ll only get with the pro version. Internal linking is an important factor in on-page SEO.
This feature shows you at a glance how many internal and external links your blog posts have. It even suggests what internal links you can add.
Local SEO Tools
Another pro version feature. If you’re a local business or local/city blogger then this feature is for you. So if you’re trying to target a specific area like NYC or something then you’ll want this feature.
You can add information like:
- Price
- Payment Methods
- Currencies accepted
- Business address
- Tax/Vat
- Contact information
Use maps to pinpoint your business location on Google Maps.
